Saving Tiger Society is a non profit organisation whose goals are to protect and conserve the wildlife and forests in our country. India has a vast diverse rich pool of wildlife and fauna. Our forests are big and the eco system is a fine balance. Every region has its own identity and as such every region needs to be handled in its own way. At Saving Tiger Society we believe that in order to keep the natural balance that Mother Nature has set in place we need to work hand in hand with the humans to be able to bring about the harmony and save the animals. Today and for the past many years human encroachment has been one of the key factors in the ever increasing man animal conflict. Violent deaths unnecessary killings loss of income harsh environment absence of basic facilities like potable water electricity have created this desperate need to find easy income from the bounty that lies within the forests irrespective of the dangers.
This practice is what we need to curb working together as much as possible to bring in the harmony and balance. This harmony needs an understanding and an awareness which is unfortunately a little scarce among the people who live in and around the forest where many of the issues arise. This is due to the simple fact that most of the people here are under privileged and not formerly educated many don’t know how to read and write and have never been to school. This is where our organisation utilizes knowledge and expertise to create awareness and help educate people towards a better life without the conflicts they face.
Saving Tiger Society aims at working tirelessly encompassing every aspect of the man animal conflict and look at creating solutions that will benefit all equally. We do have singular focus too that of endeavouring to save and protect our national animal the Tiger. One of the most majestic of all animal and at the top of the food chain. This beautiful creature is on the brink of extinction again due to human interference. We have in our sights to bring awareness and educate everyone to come together and understand the importance of Saving our wildlife. If we lose this vital balance then our entire eco system as we know it and our survival as humans is at a risk. Nature if she decides to destroy will leave nothing for anyone so it’s also a fight for our survival the survival of the human race.
Our work is hard core ground level work which is where the problem and solutions lie. If our work is to succeed it cannot be done sitting inside a room it has to be outside out in the field out among the people out in the forests out among the animals. To understand to see to help to create and solve this us done by our team who are always in the field at ground level working diligently with great dedication and selflessly towards a better brighter future for all of us.
